Ampair have a long history of manufacturing small scale wind turbines and Ampair wind turbines are used worldwide. Since 1973 Ampair products have been manufactured in the UK and are in use from the Antactic to Alaska, from the Solent to the Sahara. Ampair also manufacture the Aquair hybrid wind and water turbine, and the UW microhydro system. Ampair operates as part of Boost Energy Systems Ltd who have been active in manufacturing distributed power systems in the UK since 1957, concentrating on the 1kW to 50kW market.

Ampair microwind turbines can be used as part of a power generation system for either charging DC batteries or connecting to an AC system. Although Ampair only manufacture microwind turbines of 100 watts, 300 watts, or 600 watts rated output it is possible to install them in arrays to create a small wind farm. Many architects and town planners are now seriously considering schemes using one hundred or more of our turbines. Micro wind turbines can be installed as part of a scheme which includes solar panels and other renewable energy sources. In all cases it is reassuring to know that Ampair wind turbines are renowned worldwide for their high quality, robust build, reliability, and quietness making them the turbine of choice for the harshest of conditions.
