The ersol Group is a successful photovoltaics company with four production plants in Arnstadt, Erfurt and Camarillo in California. In Erfurt in Thuringia ersol produces multi and monocrystalline silicon solar cells; a production facility for thin-film modules has been built. Erfurt is also the head office of the ersol Group which consists of the parent company ersol Solar Energy AG, its four subsidiaries and a joint venture in China. In its different business segments ersol Solar Energy AG posted sales of € 160.2 million in 2007.
